April 26, 2006 - Orlando Florida

The 3rd Annual Conference of the College of Scheduling, held at Orlando, Florida in April 2006, was the chosen venue for the first public unveiling of a completely new project management concept, called Momentology. ICS-Global founder and president, Murray Woolf, gave a stirring presentation on April 26, 2006 which, despite being next to the last presentation of the Conference, kept scores of attendees captivated and intrigued. One attendee even rescheduled his departure to be able to attend the Momentology presentation.

Momentology

Momentum Management (Momentology) provides a powerful new way to manage projects. It offers a completely intuitive context in which project management functions are carried out. On time-sensitive projects, it allows manager to safeguard committed dates by managing the project's momentum. Its main features are:

A measurable rate of project momentum, called performance intensity.

Schedule Achievement Potential via Schedule Vulnerability and Schedule Resiliency indices.

Various definitions of criticality including Discrete Activity Float.

Developmental guidelines for numerically valuating relationship durations.

A methodology for tracking project management activities -- hence, monitoring management performance.

The ability to predict schedule "dilemmas" before they happen.

The ability to harness project synergy - in ways never before possible .

More accurate and earlier project outcome projections.
